LHPRISM Notes 

The Asian clam is a freshwater clam that can be found in lakes and streams of all sizes with silt, mud, sand, and gravel substrates. It is able to tolerate salities of up to 13 ppt for short periods of time. 

They are used as fish bait and sold via the aquarium trade in the U.S. Juveniles can also be transported by ballast water and have been found in the Hudson River from Troy to Newburgh.
